Focus: Returning to normal life with a new perspective and the tools to face future challenges.

  1. CBT Focus: Using the entire journey as proof that one can continue growing and thriving after facing significant obstacles.
  2. Assessment Tool: Self-Reflection Inventory – reflecting on the journey, the tools gained, and how they will continue to impact life.
  3. Expressive Arts Activity:

    • Adults: Create a journal entry or project reflecting on the most significant tools gained through their recent experiences.

  1. Experiential Family Therapy Activity: Families reflect on the entire journey, discussing how they’ve grown together, what tools they’ve gained, and how they will continue to support each other in future challenges.
  2. Executive Functioning Homework Assignment:
    • Children: Create a “toolbox” of skills they’ve developed through the journey. Use these tools in day-to-day challenges.
    • Adults: Reflect on the tools they’ve gained and how they will apply them to future situations. Write about how the journey has prepared them for future challenges.
